What is the difference between pentium III & pentium M?

I need Pentium III 1.2 GHz or equivalent AMD Athlon XP to play the game Cars. My computer is currently using Pentium M. What should I do to play this game???

1. yah you will be able to play the game. a pentium III isnt as good as a pentium m. a PM is equivilant to a P4 :)
2. The Pentium M is just a Pentium III late model flip chip (Socket 370) CPU in a laptop package with speed step added. - -- The CPU slows down to savethe battery when it is idle. You can change this setting in Windows XP by opening >> Control Panel >> Power Settings and choose what you want. Intel has a software utility that can ID the Chip and the current speed.
