What is the difference between intel pentium M and Centrino?

I purchased a laptop believing I have Intel Centrino inside it. When I turn on the laptop, I see Intel Pentium M processor and never see the word centrino. Am I a victim of hardware replacement? Please enlighten me. Thank you.
