If I buy a Motherboard, how do I know what case it will fit in?
also I was wondering.. if I do buy a motherboard that comes with a processor, all else I need is a harddrive, memory(ram), dvd burner, video/audio cards and a psu if the case doesnt already carry one, and plugs and wires a cables and whatnot. Anything else?

- they are standard unless you have some really funny stuff going on
- You might want to read here; http://www.build-your-own-computers.com/
- I'd probably say that more than likely you have an "ATX" case, which is rather standard. If you game, I couldn't suggest anything better than the ASUS brand of boards, they rock. Now if you're gonna use the Vista OS, be sure to seek out VISTA specific hardware like you mentioned above. Like it was for the XP OS, hardware will be limited and rather pricey till it becomes the norm. Good luck pal.
- wheather the mother board form factor is AT or ATX. first find out then find out the form factor of the cabinet and proceed.
- you can find it all out on the net. . . . .just search for computer assembly in google
- Most retailers idenify the size of the motherboard in the description as seen here this is an ATX board: http://www.gamegiants.net/product_info.php?products_id=1042 Case descriptions also list the motherboard sizes supported in this case ATX and micro ATX: http://www.gamegiants.net/product_info.php?products_id=1008 To easily solve your problem you might want to purchase a barebone system which includes the case power supply and motherboard you add memory, hard drive and CPU as seen here: http://www.gamegiants.net/product_info.php?products_id=1049
