Will an intel pentium M CPU able to handle windows 7?

I am planning to buy a used laptop computer, maybe IBM Thinkpad with Intel Pentium M Centrino. Will this be able to handle the new Windows 7? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you very much! Des

1. Well, at Intel I see speeds for the Pentium M starting at 1.1ghz. I have no idea what the speed of YOUR processor will be however. At Microsoft, the System Requirements for Windows 7 are at least a 1ghz processor.. So that means technically, yes. That processor should meet one of the System Requirements of Windows 7. You *might* want to check out the OTHER system requirements of Windows 7 to make sure that laptop meets them as well.
