How to get an unlock code for an IBM thinkpad p3-700 model a-20m or unlock the same model.?

I bought a used ibm thinkpad p3-700, type 2628 4-xu, model a-20m and accidentally locked it. I tried to get the info from the guy but he didn't know it either so basically I'm stuck. How can I get the unlock code or unlock it? Can I get a recovery disk and repartition the drive? I would only do that as a last resort tho.
