What does the MSI "System Control Manager" actually do?

On my MSI laptop, I got this little application called the "System Control Manager". It doesn't really seem to so anything and always is in the little icon bar on the left of my clock. Does anyone know what it does? Is it safe to uninstall it (it's annoying me a little)? Typo: It doesn't really seem to DO anything
