Pentium 3s

I'm shopping for a new laptop and dont know if I should get a Pentium or an Athlon processor. Is one better?

Also I was told I need more than 1 gigabyte of memory to run Windows Vista. Is that true, or is the salesperson just trying to upsell? Thanks!

1. The more memory the better when running Vista. I have 5 computers running it right now and all of them have at least one gig of memory the largest has 4 gigs. I also have a mixture of AMD and Pentium processors. I can honestly say it really doesn't make that big of a difference. It is just your choice. I am a web and graphics designer and use both without any problems. Good luck on your purchase. I will tell you that www.ztsystems.com sells an awesome laptop and desktop. I have two of them now. They are great and inexpensive they offer both the AMD and Pentium.
