Pentium 3s

What processor is better a Pentium 4 2.8ghz or a Pentium m 1.6ghz?

I have 2 laptops i have been given both pretty much the same but one has a pentium 4 2.8ghz and the other a pentium m 1.6ghz which of these if the better/faster processor? cheers

1. One is a mobile processor and one is for desktops. The mobile consumes less power but is slower than the 2.8.
2. As has been said, the Pentium M is designed for a mobile device so will be slower but use less energy. The P4 will also have HTT making it the faster CPU. Aaron http://www.needhelpwithyourpc.co.uk
