How many pins would be in a RAM from a 2001 P3 laptop?

What I am trying to ask is about the type of ram inside a 2001 sony vaio Laptop with P3 processor. how many pins Ram would it have? 144 or 200 I don't know the model, I haven't seen the orignal ram inside. why?? because its not for me but for my friend. Thanks Its 128 mb of ram but How many Pins does it have, any body have an educated guess???

1. you will need the model type and or number. What you actually need to know is the Mhz of the ram. (PC 100 - PC 133)

3. Lol @ 128. If it is a Pentium 3 laptop, I can almost guarantee you that it is a 144-pin Sdram module, PC133 would work just fine. The P3 series was before RDRAM and DDRAM was released. Your best bet would be to go to http://www.crucial.com to find out what kind you need for sure. They have an applet that you can enter the brand, type and model into in order to find out exactly what he needs.
